- amplifier (if I am not traveling with my own)
- microphone for amplifier (if the room is large enough to warrant this)

- a spare 9v battery is handy if possible.
- it's the very best if I can play in relatively dim light (some of the instruments I'm using are homemade light-sensitive pieces) but not absolutely necessary.
